Building a Bike with O School Choppers.

Part 3 = Finish the paint, seat, fender and transmission.

So now we are at the point where the bike is starting to look like it need a tranny and oil tank next. . The transmission will be a 6 speed and the oil pan will be round. Once that is on, the next area of business is mounting the tank and fender. One of the things I like about O School Choppers is they manufacture a lot of small (nice touch) products themselves. These are products you don't normally see on other bike. Yet, that is. Take in point the spacers for the rear fender,. They are made from aluminum and are in the shape of dice. Nice touch guys.

Ok, so I couldn't resist, I had to show you some more pictures.. The paint was done by talented Dwight Purcell of Purcell Customs. The paint job actually came out better than I expected. The color was exactly was was needed and after the tins were done Zorac did his magic with the old school black and tan pin-stripping.  He even pin-stripped my oil tank with a spade and a 13 on the other side. After the pin-stripping was done Dwight put a few coats of clear to insure the pin-stripping would last as long as the paint.  I was really taken back by the way it came out. Along with the O School lettering on the tank the paint really stands out well. I couldn't be more happy with it.. Awesome job Dwight....

Lets talk about the seat for a minute.  The seat was custom stitched from a Coop print that I had. All I did was gave O School Choppers the artwork and it was done in no time. I'd say that is an exact copy of my print. They offer custom leather tooled seats as well. The choice is yours.

Right about now you get a good idea of how the bike will sit and what kind of stance it will have. Like good art, everything must flow just right for it to look right and feel right. Case in point, the risers.. Although it looked good on the table the 4 inch risers were a bit tall once the bike was taken off the table and set on the floor. So that was changed to 2 inch riser.. That brought the bars down a bit, although it very cool to have tall 16 inch apes with 4 inch risers, I don't think my arms can handle such a reach... besides I don't enjoy dragging my knuckles after ever ride.  Then again what do I know. Right? That's when Adam is needed to confirm my thoughts. Did I mention he's the master fabricator here at O School Choppers? The man has the touch. Let me tell ya..  I feeling proud to be owning one of his creations. Between him and Chop (the owner) I couldn't , wouldn't want a better team assembling my bike.
